Free Online DuckDB Preloaded (NYC Taxi) Playground

Current database engine: DuckDB Preloaded (NYC Taxi) (duckdb_data)

A read-only DuckDB 1.5 (1.5.5) database preloaded with the table yellow_tripdata: about 2.96 million New York City yellow taxi trips of January 2024 from the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission, with pickup and drop-off times, locations, distances, fares, tips and payment types.

The table is large enough to see why columnar engines are fast: aggregate trips by hour, day or zone, calculate percentiles of fares and tips, find outliers. To create your own tables, use the empty DuckDB playground.

NEW Now embed mode is available: put an interactive SQL editor on any web page with one script tag.
